TRAINEE/ WORKING STUDENT (F/M/D)

Dr. Bartels M&A Consulting is a Hamburg-based M&A boutique with a special focus on German medium-sized companies. As an owner-managed and independent company, Dr. Bartels M&A Consulting concentrates on supporting and advising its clients in the context of company disposals, expansion through the acquisition of companies and capital raising. To strengthen our young and dynamic team, we are looking for an intern/working student (f/m/d) as soon as possible. We offer you the opportunity to work in a highly motivated team and to participate in the implementation of complex M&A projects in a national and international environment. During your internship or working student activity with us, you will actively get to know the varied day-to-day business and the complex procedures involved in transaction processes.

The duration of an internship with us should be at least 12 weeks and can also be more than 3 months. We would like a working student position to last at least 6 months. Following your internship/working student activity, a permanent position is also possible if both parties are interested.

What tasks are waiting for you? You will be part of a project team and work on the generation and implementation of complex M&A projects (company acquisitions and sales as well as capital procurement).

Your tasks will include in particular:

• Participation in the preparation of investment memoranda and other marketing documents
• Preparation of company analyses and financial models
• Application of valuation techniques
• Preparation and compilation of documents for virtual data rooms
• Development and execution of target screenings
• Independent research activities on companies, markets and potential investors
• Support in approaching and communicating with potential investors

Direct client contact from all team members is particularly important to us in all cases!

What should you ideally contribute? Our aim is to build long-term professional relationships and to achieve an ideal result for our clients through optimal teamwork, which is why we place particular emphasis on the "personal fit" between you and us. Communicative, open and flexible personalities are a particularly good fit for our team.

Your profile should also meet the following criteria:

• Degree in economics or another discipline with a focus on economics and very good academic performance, at least in the 3rd semester.
• Sound knowledge in the field of accounting
• Knowledge in the field of business valuation
• Very good analytical and conceptual skills
• Confident handling of MS-Office (mainly Excel and Power Point)
• Very good knowledge of German and English
• Previous relevant practical experience is a plus
